Nightclub owner charged in assault of Trent Williams

The 38-year old Miske struck Williams in the head with a champagne bottle during an altercation, according to two people with knowledge of the situation. Friday night, the statement issued by Honolulu police said that more arrests were possible. But police have said Williams is a victim and not guilty of any wrongdoing. Williams, who hasn’t responded to phone calls or text messages, received stitches to his head and wasn’t able to play in the Pro Bowl. Miske was released on $250, 000 bond, the Star Adviser said. He has an extensive criminal record that includes 10 convictions since 1993, six of them for felonies. Miske didn’t immediately reply to a voice message left for him. The incident took place at Miske’s M Nightlife nightclub at Restaurant Row, according to the Star Advertiser, which said Miske also is owner and president of Kamaaina Termite and Pest Control. The newspaper reported that in 1995, Miske was convicted of fraudulent use of a credit card and three counts of theft. He was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and five years of probation, and was ordered to pay $5, 300 in restitution. Five months later, he was found guilty of kidnapping, felony attempted assault and speeding, the Star Advertiser reported. He was sentenced to five years’ probation, assessed a $105 fine and ordered to pay $625 in restitution, the newspaper said.

In 2006, Miske was convicted of third-degree assault in connection with an altercation with a high school student and was sentenced to a year of probation. The student was granted a petition for an injunction against harassment by Miske, according to the report. He received criticism early in the just-completed season when the Redskins had a pair of punts blocked, that on the heels of having a league-high five field goal attempts blocked during the 2011 season. The Redskins also had issues with their field goal kicking early this past season, as kicker Billy Cundiff struggled after being signed just before the season following a training-camp competition between Graham Gano and Neil Rackers. But the Redskins’ special teams steadied themselves. The Redskins had no more punts blocked the rest of the season. Kicker Kai Forbath had a standout season after being signed to replace Cundiff, and Lorenzo Alexander was selected to the NFC Pro Bowl squad on special teams.
